This forum is strongly supported by the Chinese Canadian National Council (CCCN) and hosted by the CCCN Secretariat.

The first Huabusi Forum was hosted by Zhang Yuwei, Vice President and Secretary General of the Chinese Association, Bonnie and JJ Jiang Jing. Zhang Yuwei said that the foundation of the first Huabusi Forum was originally based on the business forum of the Chinese Association, and it was separated this year because they wanted to expand the space for participants. At the same time, in the future, it will not be limited to Vancouver, but will also be held in major cities around the world.

In an interview, he revealed that depending on the development of the project, the Chinese Overseas Chinese Association may hold another Huabusi Forum in a certain city in the second half of this year, and it may be held in Beijing or Taiwan next year. He explained that the forum was named "Huabusi" because the word "Hua" means "Wall Street", "China" and "Chinese Overseas Chinese Association", and the word "Bus" means "Jobs" and "Forbes", which are rich in connotation.

Zhang Yuwei said that the first forum opened five sections, and the guests invited were all first-line representatives, outstanding leaders and innovative entrepreneurs. Song Jiuhong, senior consultant of the Hualian Association, who gave the opening speech, is also a big name in the medical industry.

He also mentioned that the first Huabusi Forum will serve as a touchstone, hoping to share with the society the business information of outstanding entrepreneurs, their innovations and achievements, technology and high-quality services, which can inspire social innovation and have a positive impact.

In his speech, Song Jiuhong said that Vancouver is a place with a "high concentration" of elites and also a place with broad business prospects. The purpose of Forbes is entrepreneurship and wealth creation tools, and the spirit of Forbes is "talking and laughing with great scholars, and making the world happy."

He believes that making business people "needed by society" is the mission of entrepreneurs and a reflection of their true value. Through the first Huabusi Forum, everyone can chat and find answers to various problems of the enterprise, making the forum a place of "elite home and wonderful wealth creation."

Liang Yanmin, Commercial Counselor of the Chinese Consulate General in Vancouver, said that China's GDP exceeded RMB 126 trillion in 2023, a year-on-year increase of 5.2%, and the economic volume exceeded RMB 6 trillion, equivalent to the annual economic output of a medium-sized country. China's economy contributed 32% to global economic growth, making it the largest engine of world economic growth, forming a solid fundamental for China's economy in its long-term development.

She mentioned that China adheres to opening up to the outside world, continues to provide Chinese opportunities to countries around the world including Canada, and creates a first-class business environment. China is a large market shared by the world with huge potential. She hopes that entrepreneurs will give full play to their advantages, seize opportunities, and share the dividends of China's development.
